- My brother & his girlfriend are going on vacation in a few weeks and my brother is planning on proposing while they’re away. He’s wondering how to carry the ring though - He doesn’t want to put it in his checked luggage in case it gets lost, but he also doesn’t want to put it in his carry-on luggage cause he’s afraid she’ll see it when it goes through the x-ray scanner. He can’t just carry it in his pocket cause that will probably make the metal detector go off. Any suggestions? - 7 February 2009

- My brother has been working the same job since he graduated from college.. He has been with the same company, sitting in the same office, doing the same tasks, has the same boss and his pay has gone up 4% a year. He is at the top of his pay grade. Now the company is in financial trouble and there may be layoffs. Because he is paid at the top of his pay grade he is likely to be laid off. If you were an employer what would you think of an applicant who has worked for only one employer in his whole life? Would he be considered steady, predictable and consistent. - Basically, here’s the scenario. My brother tends to run these vigorous programs, such as that of Utorrent, and hogs up the whole bandwidth in the house. When he does these kinds of activities, I am unable to navigate through the internet effectively; even as simple as checking my email! There anyway to limit his internet speed? - My brother is a senior in high school. He needs something to make for his woodshop class. Last year he got a 75 gallon fish tank and he built a huge base for it with drawers, cabinets, etc. He needs something better this year. He wanted to make a shed but his teacher told him he learned too much and needs something better than that. Any ideas of what he can make? He doesn’t really want to make bedroom furniture because a lot of people do that and he wants something unique. - 22 September 2008
